A single sub works for small rooms, portable PA and most DJ rigs. Pairs of subs give you more headroom, more even coverage and (when arrayed correctly) better control of where the low end goes — important in churches and bigger venues.

15" subs are punchy and portable — great for live bands, DJs and smaller halls. 18" subs go lower and louder, which suits larger venues, outdoor events and any system handling kick, bass and electronic music seriously.
