Is FBT a good brand for PA speakers?

FBT is an Italian loudspeaker manufacturer building active and passive PA since 1963. The X-Lite and X-Pro series are widely used in schools, churches, venues and mobile PA work for their light cabinets, high output and long-term reliability.

What is the difference between FBT X-Lite and X-Pro?

X-Lite focuses on the lightest possible cabinet for portable and mobile use, while X-Pro adds higher SPL, more DSP control and heavier-duty hardware for installs and larger live systems. Both share the same voicing family so they mix well in one rig.

Do I need an amplifier with FBT speakers?

Accepted Answer

Active FBT models (those ending in A, such as X-LITE 112A) have amplification and DSP built in — you only need a mixer and cabling. Passive models need an external amp such as the FBT AX 800, AX 1200, AX 2000 or AX 3000, matched to the cabinet impedance and power rating.

Yes. All FBT products are shipped NZ-wide from our Wellington workshop, and we can help spec a full system, subs, amplification and mounting before you order.
